Raising a grievance
If something on CardLore concerns you (a post about you, your personal information, an impersonation, or a decision a moderator made), you can complain to our grievance officer. Every complaint gets an answer.
Grievance officer
- Name
- Soham Mayekar
- Details will be published before launch
- Operated by
- Soham Mayekar
How quickly
We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours of receiving it, and resolve it within 15 days, as the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 require.
A complaint that a post shows you in a private or intimate way, or impersonates you, is acted on within 24 hours.
What to include
- The link to the post, reply or profile, or enough words from it for us to find it.
- What is wrong with it, and how it affects you.
- Whether you are the person it is about, or writing on their behalf.
- An email address we can answer you at.
Never send card numbers, account numbers, OTPs or documents. We will never ask for them.
The quicker route for most things
Every post, reply and profile has a Report button. It goes straight to the moderators, who usually act first; the writer is never told who reported them. Read the community guidelines for what is removed.
If you are not satisfied
If you disagree with how the grievance officer resolved your complaint, the Rules allow an appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up by the Government of India, within 30 days of our decision.
